(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth is a bass solo written by late bassist Cliff Burton. It appeared on Metallica's debut album Kill 'Em All as the fifth listed track. It is the only Metallica track written solely by Burton, one of the two original track in which Lars Ulrich does not get a writing credit (the other being Motorbreath) and the only original track which does not feature a writing credit from James Hetfield.

It is the band's first instrumental track, being succeeded by "The Call of Ktulu", "Orion", "To Live Is to Die", and "Suicide and Redemption", all of which appearing on future albums.
