Hey does anyone know if kirk and james actually got the tmnt painted on their guitars or was that some myth thanks
Hi guys! I know it is night time for 99% of you people, and this server is dead at night, but I want to talk about my experience yesterday. I went with my 13-year old son to a Metallica concert. He wore this shirt that is special to me. I wore it to my first concert, which was a Metallica concert, over 30 years ago, when I was 13. This was his first concert. I love that I got to share this memory with him.
One of the best debut albums, turns 40 years old today.
What your favorite song from this legendary album?
Everybody's "Favorite" album turns 20 years old today.
What is your favorite song from the album?
It needs an edit, Jason never played in master of puppets the first album.ge was involved in was ...And Justice For All
For Whom The Bell Tolls and 72 Seasons almost have the exact same amount of pure guitar before any vocals (FWTBT has 2:06, whereas 72 Seasons has 2:07)
Fun fact i randomly noticed, lmk if anyone else noticed this

A great Metallica Trivia/Analysis Channel I've found. Seriously guy is funny as hell. Talented as hell. and does a lot of research.

The thing nobody asked for.
The review, not the song, everybody asked for the song.
Im gonna say, its interesting they released the title track before the album.
But im not angry about it, not at all.
This song is a whopping 7 MINUTES AND 38 SECONDS LONG.
Or, in Metallica terms: "A little short." /hj
It gives off some very strong "Hardwired" vibes, which leads me to believe that assuming they dont retire after making this album, this is the musical style they will keep moving forward.
Papa James Hetfield has done it again, his vocals and guitar playing is rythmic and booming, and the lyrics fit that perfectly, but we will get into the lyrics later.
Good job, Het!
Kirk, reliable as always, did a good job with the riffs, i would say.
And if we were to derail the topic of the song and focus on Kirk for just a moment, im very excited to see what he does after his "Portals" EP.
Lars...Oh boy, Lars.
Lars did his thing, i guess. The drumming was simple but effective and, once again, very simmilar to Hardwired.
But, when you only know 5 drumbeats, your songs start to blend into eachother.
And before you ask, no, i dont hate Lars, or the members of Metallica, i would consider myself a huge fan.
Just stating as objective of opinions as i can, my opinion is in a seperate section.
Rob did good with the bass, never will out-do Cliff, but that dosent mean he cant try.
Now lets slap all those things together-
*slap*
72 Seasons.
Overall, i think they did pretty solid all around, no one part of it stands out, nor does it slack off,
The lyrics carry a deep emotional message.
And its very much an upgrade from that monstrosity known as: "If Darkness Had A Son"
After that dissapointment, i think this song brought back my hopes for this album.
My Opinion: Kirk's solo was really good, James' REALLY belted those lyrics as much as he could, and created a solid title track. Like i said before, nothing staggeringly good, but nothing terrible, the lyrics are what sold the song for me, with how much James' hyped the meaning behind 72 Seasons, he substantially delivered with this.
Do i like it? Yeah.
Would i replay it? Totally.
Is it the best thing they ever made? ...Not really, but its one of the best things they've made in the 2000's/20XX's.
Solid 7.5/10 for me.
What do you think?
So i’m here now
